Watch the GTA 6 Trailer in 4K, the Legitimate Way

Last updated:

If you want the GTA 6 trailers in the cleanest, highest-quality version, this page points you at official sources only. No reuploads, no "download the 4K file" sites, no sharpened fakes. Just where the real footage lives, in the best legitimate quality, plus the embeds so you can watch right here.

The fastest route is the Trailer Vault on the homepage, which loads all four official GTA 6 videos as click-to-play embeds straight from Rockstar's channel.

Where to watch officially

The single source you should trust is Rockstar Games' official YouTube channel Confirmed. The trailers stream there in up to 2160p (4K). That is also where every official video so far appeared first, apart from An Extended Look, which had a six-hour Netflix window. Our embeds simply load those same official uploads, so watching them in the Vault and watching them on Rockstar's channel are the same footage.

The four official GTA 6 videos, with the quality options YouTube offered when we checked on 25 October 2026:

Video Published Length Top quality on YouTube
Trailer 1 4 December 2023 1:30 2160p
Trailer 2 6 May 2025 2:47 2160p
An Extended Look 27 August 2026 26:48 not listed in our check, see below
Launch Trailer 15 October 2026 1:30 2160p

For An Extended Look our check did not return a format list, so we do not state its top resolution; open it on Rockstar's channel and look at the quality menu yourself. None of the four listed an HDR option in our check, so we do not recommend chasing an "HDR version": there is no official one to point you to. Checked 25 Oct 2026

For the second trailer's full scene index, see the Trailer 2 page.

YouTube 4K vs the higher-bitrate uploads

Here is the nuance people argue about. YouTube serves the trailers in 4K resolution, but YouTube compresses video fairly aggressively, so the bitrate (how much data per second of video) is lower than a master file. That is why you will see people pointing to mirrors on other platforms, a higher-bitrate Bilibili upload is the one that comes up most, claiming it looks noticeably sharper.

Two honest points about that:

  1. The resolution is the same 4K; the difference is compression, and for most screens it is subtle. (When Rockstar released a censored version of An Extended Look for China on 31 August, it also issued takedowns against unblurred reuploads on Bilibili, a reminder that mirrors can vanish overnight.)
  2. We still steer you to official sources. Chasing third-party "better" uploads is how people end up on reupload channels and sketchy download pages. The cleanest legitimate version is Rockstar's own upload.

If pristine bitrate matters to you, the right move is to watch Rockstar's 4K stream on the best screen and connection you have, not to hunt mirrors.

Avoid these

A few things to steer clear of when "watching in 4K":

  • "Download GTA 6 trailer 4K" sites. Unnecessary and often sketchy.
  • Reupload channels with fake thumbnails or "EXTENDED / LEAKED" titles.
  • AI-upscaled "8K remaster" versions. These invent detail that was never in the footage and feed the false "hidden detail" threads we untangle on the trailer breakdown page.

Getting the best picture at home

To make Rockstar's official 4K look its best:

  • Set YouTube's quality to 2160p manually if your connection allows.
  • Watch on a 4K display rather than a phone if you want to see the detail.
  • Use a wired or strong connection so YouTube serves the top quality tier.

While you watch

The trailers reward close viewing. Pair them with the trailer song page to catch every needle-drop, and the Vice City and Leonida explainer to place each location. The newest official video, the 15 October 2026 Launch Trailer, is covered on the Trailer 3 page and sits in the Trailer Vault. If Rockstar posts anything else before the 19 November launch, it will appear on its channel and in the Vault the same day.

FAQ

Where can I watch the GTA 6 trailer in 4K? On Rockstar Games' official YouTube channel, where Trailer 1, Trailer 2 and the Launch Trailer offered 2160p when we checked on 25 October 2026, and embedded in the Trailer Vault on this site.

Is the Bilibili upload really higher quality? It can have a higher bitrate than YouTube's compressed 4K, but the resolution is the same and we recommend official sources only.

Can I download the GTA 6 trailer in 4K? There is no official download. Stream it from Rockstar's channel rather than using third-party download sites.
